Dis­tin­gu­is­hed Paper Award

At the 8th ACM Sym­po­si­um on In­for­ma­ti­on, Com­pu­ter and Com­mu­ni­ca­ti­ons Se­cu­ri­ty (ASIACCS 2013), re­se­ar­chers of the Chair of Systems Security and TU Darm­stadt were ho­no­red with the Dis­tin­gu­is­hed Paper Award for their sci­en­ti­fic work “Bring Your Own Pri­va­cy & Se­cu­ri­ty to iOS De­vices”. They pre­sent the de­sign and im­ple­men­ta­ti­on of PSiOS, a tool that fea­tures a novel po­li­cy en­force­ment frame­work for iOS. The aut­hors of the paper are Tim Werth­mann, Ralf Hund, Lucas Davi, Ah­mad-Re­za Sa­de­ghi und Thors­ten Holz. ASIACCS was held in Hang­zhou, China, from 7-10 May, 2013. It is a major in­ter­na­tio­nal forum for in­for­ma­ti­on se­cu­ri­ty re­se­ar­chers, prac­titio­ners, de­ve­lo­pers, and users to ex­plo­re and ex­chan­ge the ne­west cyber se­cu­ri­ty ideas, bre­ak­th­roughs, fin­dings, tech­ni­ques, tools, and ex­pe­ri­en­ces. 35 of 159 sub­mit­ted pa­pers were ac­cep­ted. Two of them were ho­no­red with the Dis­tin­gu­is­hed Paper Award.
